The concept of urban wetland park construction should keep pace with the times. In addition to playing the role of protecting the urban ecosystem, it should also have aesthetics, artistry and design. Landscape architects should continue to do a good job in ecological environment art design to improve the construction level of urban wetland parks. The Architectural Planning and Design Research Center will briefly talk about the two points that should be paid attention to in the design of urban wetland parks. I hope it will be helpful for you to understand the design of wetland parks.
1. Build an urban wetland continuum
On the basis of protecting the urban primary water system, efforts will be made to create an urban natural space with wetlands as the main body. The rivers and streams flowing through the urban area organically connect various types of wetland parks and urban micro-wetlands to form a wetland network with complete structure and complex functions—urban wetland continuum. For ecologically optimized areas rich in water system resources, focus on creating a good hydrophilic space, design and build river wetland parks, and flexibly create natural rivers, while providing design templates for various revetment forms; for ecological protection and restoration areas, strive to continue the beautiful natural landscape and the ecological environment, build a life community of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes and grasses, and actively protect and utilize the current rice field wetlands; For ecological restoration areas that lack natural wetland resources, focus on restoring the natural form of rivers and reducing hardened revetments; for reasonable use areas outside the urban area, because they include large areas of rice fields and the landscape of lotus ponds and hilly wetlands is prominent, they focus on building cascades Multi-pond wetland system, and rice field wetland park with multiple functions such as compound polder wetland agricultural display, floating field wetland agricultural sightseeing, Linze-rice farming, etc. Coordinate the construction of the urban wetland continuous body with the construction of the sponge city, purify and discharge the rainwater in the city to the river through the sponge system, and increase the water flow of the river. Combined with the ecological restoration design of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes and grasses in the whole area, and using the urban sponge system construction technology, it will build China's first "urban wetland continuous body" and form a complete wetland ecological pattern.
2. Wetland plant planning
The plant configuration of the wetland park should retain the original tree species, and the newly added plants are mainly native tree species, with rich planting levels and a combination of trees, shrubs and grasses. According to different regional characteristics, select suitable plant species for growth. For example, the tree species in the waterfront area are mainly aquatic plants, and the planting of plants should meet the river's water-passing capacity, accessibility, and safety. The environment in the north and south regions is quite different, so configurations need to be made according to the situation. The water area in the southern section of the river is small, and there are few restrictions on the selection of tree species. During the planning and design process, attention should be paid to the creation of plant landscape and plant space. The pedestrian system runs through the entire wetland park. While protecting the original landscape, the landscape design in the southern area is mainly artificial landscape, combined with plant landscaping to create fun.The northern area is a wetland natural landscape area with a large area of water surface and landscape along the river. It is the key transformation area of the entire wetland park and also the core landscape area. The selection of tree species is mainly based on water-tolerant plants, and the trail is combined with the southern area to form a scenic trail around the lake and along the river. The plants along the revetment should choose moisture-resistant tree species as much as possible, and adopt mixed revetment, which can reduce the erosion of water flow on the one hand, and promote the healthy development of the original plant system in the wetland on the other hand.
